Deadline reported that Robert De Niro is set to star in the Jessy Terrero-directed Freelancers, and Forest Whitaker is in talks to join him and Curtis '50 cent' Jackson in the cop drama which the film production begins on April 18 in New Orleans.
50 Cent will play the son of a murdered New York City police officer who joins the force and finds himself "on a team of rogue Gotham cops." Kudos to 50 cent on his new career! ;)
The film will be directed by former music video maker, Jessy Terrero (Soul Train), based on a script by Philippe Casseus (first screenplay from a former grip)
